ACCEPT CHRIST TODAY
According to Acts 2:38, to become a follower of Jesus Christ, you must repent of your sins, be baptized in water, and receive the Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit. Jesus told Nicodemus "you must be born of the water and of spirit in order to enter the Kingdom of God." John 3:5.
Repentance
Tell God you are sorry for engaging in behavior that is contrary to the Word of God. Stop engaging in those behaviors. Ask God to forgive you. Godly sorrow leads to repentance. II Corinthians 7:10.
Tell Jesus Christ you want him to be your Lord and Savior.
Baptism
Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross to cover our sins. Baptismal water is symbolic of Jesus' blood. When a minister submerges you in water, the blood of Christ cleans the stain of your sins off of you.
When a Christian is submerged in water, this symbolizes his sins being like Christ was dead and buried. When a Christian is brought out of the water, this symbolizes the Christian being raised free from sin like Christ was resurrected from death.
Holy Ghost/Holy Spirit
The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God living inside of you. It gives you power to refrain from committing sinful acts. It gives you a desire to live according to the bible and to be a witness for Christ. Acts 1:8. It teaches you how to be a Christian. John 14:26, John 16:13
